At the 1986 Birmingham Motor Show, Aston Martin unveiled the V8 Vantage Volante. Along with a more powerful engine, it was distinguished from the regular Volante with a body kit that included large flares, front dam, sill plates and a kicked up trunk lid. These pieces were all distinct from the coupe version.
In their time, the Vantage Volante was one of the fastest road-going cars and could achieve 160 mph.
During a three year production just over 150 examples were made and 1/3 of these were exported to America.
