In July of 1972, Aston Martin took took an unusual step by reverting from Bosch’s mechanical fuel injection to a quartet of Weber carburetors.
To clear the four twin-choke, 42mm Weber carburetors and their airbox, a larger scoop was fitted on the hood.
Besides other small detail changes to the seats, switchgear and some smaller items, the car remained much the same until production changed to the Series 4 in 1978.
